Colori d’Italia e di Natale nel nuovo spettacolo delle Sorelle Bandiera

Ha il titolo "Flying High - the sequel" e un alto livello di entusiasmo e partecipazione del pubblico il nuovo show delle famose Sorelle Bandiera. La stagione pre-natalizia, dal 15 al 20 dicembre alla Victoria Hall di Fremantle, porta regali in abbondanza: a parte i vari omaggi e premi gentilmente offerti dalla Gadfly Gallery, legati alla spettacolare mostra su Marilyn Monroe, e’ un vero piacere ascoltare musiche di varie epoche, a cui danno corpo gli straordinari artisti sulla scena, tanto italiani quanto australiani.

Va notato che Mauro Bronchi e Graziano Sirci sono entrambi di Spoleto, mentre Neil Hansen e Ronnie van den Bergh vivono a Perth, come Barry Strickland, coordinatore del tour ed autore del testo. A recitare le parole in scena (e a volte in giro per la platea, coinvolgendo il pubblico in modo davvero intimo) e’ il bello e bravo Graziano Sirci, che indossa un’autentica divisa della compagnia di bandiera e fa la parte di uno steward (o 'cabin captain') che va spesso alla ricerca delle tre hostess. Dopo la scena iniziale, queste non si fanno trovare per un bel po’, mentre sul palcoscenico si avvicendano figure fantastiche dello spettacolo, da Shirley Temple a Marilyn, dalle ‘sciantose’ alle ballerine classiche, con canzoni famose e familiari, interpretate con grande verve.

Sul palco della storica Victoria Hall scintilla una scala di lustrini, e altrettanto brillanti sono i costumi e le coreografie del famoso trio, che si presenta in varie combinazioni. Mauro Bronchi, con capelli e occhiali neri, ha una grande capacita’ espressiva e una ‘grinta’ spettacolare, per cui tiene validamente fronte alle due longilinee figure di Neil Hansen (capelli rossi, sorriso accattivante e grande spirito) e Ronnie van den Bergh, con capelli biondi e tacchi vertiginosi, per non parlare delle scarpette con cui balla sulle punte famosi brani dal Lago dei Cigni. Tutti e tre hanno gambe che meritano di essere messe in mostra, anche a decenni di distanza dal loro debutto, e l’energia e bravura con cui si muovono rappresenta un ottimo incoraggiamento a mantenersi giovani, con attivita’ fisica e iniziative che permettono di sfogare anche la creativita’ artistica.

Mentre gran parte del pubblico ha gia’ visto lo spettacolo precedente, presentato un anno fa con il documentario "The fabulous Flag Sisters", e’ altrettanto entusiasta chi non aveva mai visto prima le Sorelle Bandiera, nella formazione attuale o in quella storica, e perfino chi non capisce l’italiano, visto che il testo e’ recitato in inglese e che la gamma di canzoni attraversa ogni sorta di frontiere, compresa quella del tempo. Dopo il 20 non si sa ancora se e dove lo spettacolo sara’ presentato in questa estate australiana, ma le Sorelle Bandiera vi terranno informati attraverso tutti i mezzi di comunicazione.

Flag Sisters to visit Marilyn Monroe exhibition

In advance of the opening of their new show, The Flag Sisters will be visiting an exhibition of stunning photographs of their 'muse' Marilyn Monroe on Monday 7 December at 11.30am.  The exhitibion, titled EVE : MARILYN, is being presented by the Gadfly Gallery, and is currently on show at the Perth Concert Hall. The photographs are all by the legendary American photographer Eve Arnold and many were taken on the set of The Misfits (1961), the last film Marilyn completed (and arguably her greatest dramatic performance).  

The Sisters are particularly excited by this opportunity to officially attend the exhibition and meet members of the Perth media. They are also excited by an impending announcement regarding a special offer from the Gadfly Gallery for their FLYIN' HIGH: THE SEQUEL audience. Stand by for details!
