The Flag Sisters are dedicating their season of FLYIN' HIGH: THE SEQUEL to the memory and extraordinary legacy of the late HOLLY WOOD. Holly's life was lived to the full and he touched so many lives in such a joyful way. His passing has left us without one of our brightest 'shining lights'. But we know he's up there somewhere illuminating another sphere - and holding court!

5 facts about FLYIN' HIGH: THE SEQUEL, the fabulous new show by The Flag Sisters

Glenda, Petula, Dorothy in their old AIR FLAG outfits. They found them a touch too modest, so they have instructed their couturier to design something somewhat more alluring for their comeback season.

  1. An army of galant seamstresses has developed collective 'rigor mortis' sewing the dazzling new haute couture frocks

  2. Several geeks, none of whom have seen daylight for weeks, have successfully launched the new INTERACTIVE IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (a world-first for AIR FLAG!)***

  3. Air Flag's new Cabin Captain, GRAZIANO ("Push my button") SIRCI, has become bilingual and is working on his French and Greek

  4. Beauty consultant, Estee Lauder, has told the Sisters that "there is nothing I can do for you - your beauty cannot be improved upon" and has simply recommended "rest and the occasional gin and tonic"

  5. Super Economy packages are currently available by phoning AIR FLAG's Australian Terminal (Victoria Hall, 179 High Street, Fremantle - The Home of Deckchair Theatre) on 08 9430 4771 or through visiting http://www.deckchairtheatre.com.au/. 10 facts the Flag Sisters would like you to know . . .

  1. They were all born in 1977, so that makes them just 32 years young (so stop hurling those hurtful nasturtiums!)
  2. They were born on a Sunday on a television show in Rome, and their father was Renzo Arbore. So, yes, they are triplets.
  3. Their mother was only around long enough to deliver them. She apparently entered a convent shortly thereafter.
  4. Dorothy is a natural brunette, Petula a natural redhead, and Glenda a very natural blonde.
  5. Yes, they are still looking for husbands. Regrettably, each has been tragically unlucky in amore.
  6. Just because they're hostessing with AIR FLAG doesn't mean they're desperate, just optimistic.
  7. Yes, Size 10 is their dress size. Don't let your eyes fool you!
  8. No, there is not a plastic surgeon in Pisa who has grown rich on their character lines!
  9. Yes, they did host a telecast of the Miss Italy contest. Yes, they did entertain Giorgio Armani at his 50th birthday. Yes, they did cavort with Andy Warhol. Yes, they did star with Isabella Rossellini and Roberto Benigni on television and on the big screen. Yes, they did make a movie in which they were male spies pretending to be women, battling against female spies pretending to be men.
  10. No, they are not responsible for their many imitators on YouTube. No, they do not encourage people to sing "Fatti piu in la" at weddings (if they want to, that's their business). No, they cannot understand why so many men like to dress up as them and flaunt themselves in piazzas the length and bredth of Italy. No, it is definitely not true that Silvio Berlusconi proposed marriage to each of them!

During their forthcoming 'layover' in Australia, the Sisters will be moonlighting at Fremantle's VICTORIA HALL from 15-20 December. And they've recruited GRAZIANO "Press my button" SIRCI, who'll join them on stage in their all-dancing, all-singing, all-spoofing new show called FLYIN' HIGH: THE SEQUEL. See the post below for details!

The Flag Sisters are returning to Fremantle's Victoria Hall with Flyin' High: The Sequel, 15-20 December 2009

In May 2009, The Flag Sisters returned to the stage with Flyin' High. Such was the show's success, both in Australia and Italy, those divine divas are returning to the scene of their miraculous (ah, immaculate) revival - Fremantle's Victoria Hall. And, of course, the new show's called Flyin' High: The Sequel.

Those of you who were lucky enough to see the original show will know that Dorothy, Petula and Glenda are superannuated trolley dollies who have been forced back into 'servive' aboard AIR FLAG, apparently due to something called the Global Economic Crisis. Now, according to that arbitor of our airlines, The Airline Monitor, Air Flag "takes budget flying to new lows, but gives new meaning to in-flight entertainment". This is entirely true!

In Flyin' High: The Sequel, our Sisters have a new cabin captain. He's Italian, he's suffering from testosterone overload, and his name is Graziano "Press My Button" Sirci. Oh, and he's a bit of a spunk (well, he's actually Italy's most eligible bachelor). Naturally, our Sisters decide to have a little fun at his expense.

It all adds up to the best Xmas treat since Santa invented stockings!

So, you'd better book your First Class ($35), Tourist Class ($30) or Super Economy ($25) ticket quick smart by going to www.deckchairtheatre.com.au and booking online. Or, if you'd prefer the dog and bone, call Deckchair on 08 9430 4771 (between 10am-4pm, Mon-Fri).

So, when and where's it all happening exactly?
